One hot summer night, on the eleventh day of May, in the year of our Lord 1983, a healthy baby girl was born to two proud parents in the delivery room of a hospital, somewhere in the busiest street of their country. The mother named their daughter after a famous actress who became a princess, but died just five months before. The baby was born with a mop of black curly hair, chubby little hands and feet, and a single tooth on her lower gums.

Immediately after the baby was permitted to go home, the tooth that grew with her on her mother's womb was extracted to prevent her from hurting herself.

Days, weeks, months, and years went by and the baby turned into a toddler. The young girl had learned how to walk, sit, stand, and talk. After four years in the shelter of her parents and nanny, the young girl was admitted to nursery school where she learned how to write words and many other things.

For she grew up by herself, she longed to have a younger sibling to play with. So, the girl prayed hard day and night in front of the Sacred Heart of Jesus while sitting on the first step of their staircase. Alas, her wish was granted two months before her fifth birthday. How overjoyed she was for she finally has a younger sister to play with.

And so the girl grew up, surrounded with the love and care her parents give her, the laughter and carefree moments with her sister, and the joy and happiness she experiences with her relatives. She went through her grade school years with a sharp mind and innocent thoughts. She tried a lot of different things at this stage like learning how to swim, sing, and play the piano. And while cherishing all these, she gained a lot of friends and acquaintances.

In high school, the girl entered into a different world where all her classmates are girls. She only knew a few friends from her grade school but she soon met her new batch of friends and acquaintances. She quickly adapted to her new environment; getting good grades, joining in extra-curricular activities, meeting new people, learning new traditions, and living new experiences. Although she missed having boys as classmates, the perks of being surrounded by all females was soon realized. There was no need for embarrassing moments and hushed voices.

As the girl grew into a young lady, she stepped into a different world again called college. This time, the young lady entered full of insecurities and doubts for she is in a much bigger world than her high school with no one she knows in the class she belongs to. But new circumstances did not hinder her from meeting new people for she instantly found a new friend and companion amidst strangers on her first day. Fate and luck was on her side for on that same day, she found two others who soon became a big part of her life in college. So they were four. They met and befriended their classmates as their class became open to each other as weeks went by. Although her first companion had to be apart from them, she was replaced by one guy, then three others, and then another girl. Then they were eight. They goofed and joked a lot with each other, teasing and sharing codes with one another. But then, one of the guys had to go away while the young lady's first companion returned to be with them.

Months have passed and many things have changed for the young lady. She and her nine friends don't have much time to goof around anymore. Her first companion had to go away for real now even if it's not yet sure that she'll stay away for long. One of her guy friends is slowly drifting away from them. Another one surprised her with his intent. Then there are two of her girl friends who are at odds with each other. But of course, there are still good things happening for the young lady like extra-curriculars, new acquaintances, and old feelings.

Things happened to the young lady's life. She found new friends in the new class that she was in, and more so with the new organization that she became active in. People came and went, and now she was in a new circle of friends. They were four girls, but by the end of her college life, one has distanced herself from them, due to misunderstandings that the young lady was caught in between. She stayed good friends with both sides, however. And even if there were challenges that she had failed to conquer, she is not giving up, for there is still tomorrow and one never knows what it will bring.

Despite the chaos that suddenly surround her, she still found some peace and quiet, and comfort from an unlikely person that she thought would never bare his soul to her. He became her confidante in the times that there were doubts nagging in her brain when the quest that she took so bravely was coming near. He even let her see a different side of him that she never even thought that he show her. These things became her reasons to stay sane, and even if they were not as close like that now, she knows that she can always turn to him for comfort like before.

This story has yet no end, for the young lady's life is still turning, even if it's on lend.
